Our final meeting at the end of April brought our 2021/22 Season to a close. Attendees enjoyed a face to face meeting in Kinross Church Centre where we got together to enjoy a fun quiz night and a raffle. I am pleased to report that despite COVID restrictions preventing most of our in hall meetings we have still managed to run a full and varied schedule all year with most of our meetings being held via Zoom. We discovered a great advantages of Zoom meetings has meant our club enjoyed presentations from speakers far and wide who would not usually be able to join us due to distance. We have enjoyed many presentations from all over the UK and even one from Namibia. Where restrictions allowed we have had a few face to face meetings in Kinross Church Centre. Our competitions were always preferable face to face when possible in order to appreciate the fantastic mounted prints many of our members entered. Several club members are continuing to shield and isolate so we have decided to schedule a combination of Zoom meetings and in hall meetings next season beginning in September. This will allow all members of Kinross Camera Club to be able to participate in as much of the programme as possible.
The Annual Dinner will be held on May 7th. This is always an enjoyable get to together to bring the season to a close and where hard earned trophies for competition winners will be presented. Definitely an event to look forward to as we have not been able to hold this event for the last two years.
Work is already underway creating the 2022/23 Syllabus and this will be available to see on our website later in the year.
