Over the last month members have been enjoying more trips out together with our cameras. Our Summer Evening Programme recently included visits to Elie, Balvaird Castle and Glasgow. Despite a rainy evening one of our members braved the storm and caught some beautiful shots of the colourful beach huts at Elie. The visit to Balvaird Castle saw a brighter evening and the light much improved for some atmospheric landscapes with sun-rays appearing from below the clouds adding drama to the skies. Even though it was a grey evening in Glasgow some wonderful architectural shots were taken with interesting reflections and abstract angles coming into play.
We had two interesting and thought provoking themes to work on this month …. Symmetry / Pattern and Surrealist Colour. A Zoom evening meeting gave us the chance to share these images along with those taken on the Summer Evening visits. It is always a well attended enjoyable evening where we have a catch up and a chat about our photographs and share tips and tricks on how to improve techniques in camera and during editing.
Looking forward to more evening visits in August and keeping fingers crossed for some calm weather with good light.
