Our line up of events for April looks very exciting. We begin the month on the 1st with our very popular Picture a Quarter where we enjoy seeing photographs our members have taken over the last 3 months. It is always a very relaxed enjoyable evening chatting about where we have all been with our cameras and seeing the interesting things we have snapped. We have our Annual Competition on the 8th when we welcome judge Roy Smith DPAGB AFIAP Hon SPF from South Ayrshire to join us via Zoom and give his appraisal and constructive critique of our images. On the 15th April we are very much looking forward to a Zoom presentation by David Garthwaite a skilled fine art photographer from Leeds. David specialises in Black and White Landscape, architecture, portrait and product photography. On the 22nd April we welcome Colleen Slater a creative, macro photography specialist from Brighton. Colleen has an interest in the smaller things in life, whether insects or flowers, her evocative atmospheric and intimate images draw attention to the ordinary, often unnoticed things in the everyday world. Her latest images reveal close up details found in the urban environment.
